Craftsmanship

From tannery to workshop, every PabDer piece carries the same devotion to genuine, honestly-made leather — and the care it takes to keep it beautiful for years to come.

Craftsmanship
Every MaterialBegins with care

Before a single stitch is made, every hide that enters a PabDer workshop is chosen for its honesty — its grain, its strength, its ability to age well. Craftsmanship, to us, starts long before the workbench.

Inside the PabDer workshop — leather, hand and time.

The Ritual

Four steps to lasting leather

01

Dust & wipe

Remove surface dust with a soft, dry cloth after each wear.

02

Condition

Apply a neutral leather cream in small circular motions; let it absorb.

03

Protect

Use a waterproof spray before exposure to rain or damp.

04

Rest & store

Use shoe trees and dust bags; keep away from direct heat and light.

Materials Matter
Cow, sheep, goat, ostrich, crocodile

All PabDer products are made with 100% genuine leather.

Leather shows its beauty over time. It is personal — taking on the characteristics of the person who wears it the more it is used. Wrinkles and fading are a natural part of a leather good's life; the surface develops in colour, and the patina it gains is meant to reflect its wearer over time.

Help

Frequently asked

What makes PabDer leather different?
Every hide is fine-grain, genuine leather selected for its honesty and strength — never bonded or synthetic. We choose materials that age gracefully rather than wear out.
What is patina?
Patina is the natural change in leather’s color, texture, and character over time, caused by use, touch, sunlight, and natural oils. It’s not a defect it makes each leather piece unique.
How should I look after my leather over time?
Follow the four-step ritual above — dust, condition, protect, and store — and visit our full Care Guide for material-specific instructions.
